Baby Here We Come

I know it has been a while since I have updated the blog. I have had two projects due in my masters classes so I have been quite busy. Spring Break started yesterday for me. YAY!! I am heading home on Wednesday to visit with family and friends and go to my first baby shower. Thanks Lee and Cathy!

I got a WONDERFUL suprise yesterday, I found out that my cousin Robyn, and her daughter Brooke, are flying from Washington state to come to the baby shower. I have not seen her in a while so I am very very excited to see her.

I also got another FABULOUS suprise yesterday. My siblings (Andrew, Aaron, and Joslin) bought our high chair and it was delivered yesterday. It is the first piece of baby furniture we have gotten. I was jumping up and down with excitement. I think the baby was either excited or was trying to get me to stop jumping around because I got kicked a few times. John was very patient because I pretty much told him he had to put it together right away. :o) Above is the picture of the high chair with Pavey Lowe, my Air Force Bear from Build-a-Bear. My friend Betsy was here, so she helped John unpack it on the floor. I got to watch and take pictures.

I was talking to a friend the other day and she asked me if I was keeping a pregnancy journal. Well, I am not great at keeping a journal. I start off good and then fade out after about a week. Then I realized that I am keeping a journal of sorts...this blog. You guys are keeping me going with this. I get asked alot "When are you going to update the blog?" or "Hey you should put that on the blog." So thank you to everyone for keeping me going with this. I think it will be a fantastic addition to the baby book. The best part is that y'all can add to it so the baby will see how much he/she is loved even before arriving. So please feel free to leave comments below. Just click on the underlined word comments and you can type your message. The shout outs to the right are for short quick Howdys and probably won't print well so if you would like your message included in the baby book once the baby is here please leave the comment in the comment section. :o)

Below are some pictures that I took of John putting the highchair together. The big toolbox with lots of tools is really paying off. :o)

Until next time...

Visit to Sacred Heart

I went for my visit at Sacred Heart yesterday. Overall the visit went well. They were very thourough. The baby had the wiggles so it took them a while to get the pictures they needed of the babies heart. All looks good on that front. They said the baby is growing good. The only bit of not good news is that instead of coming from the center of the placenta like it should, the umbilical cord is off to one side. They doctor said this might affect the baby's growth but as he put it "don't loose any sleep over it". It just means I will have to go to Sacred Heart more frequently so they can monitor the baby's growth. I go back on the 25th of April. So please pray that the baby continues to grown like he/she should.

One thing that was really cool was watching the baby kick on the ultrasound and feeling it at the same time. Above is a picture of the baby's head and upper body. No there are no pictures of the baby's nether region so don't ask! I told the tech and the doctor that I did not want to know if the baby is a boy or girl. To the left is a picture of the baby's foot! He/She is getting lots of use out of that little foot because I feel it ALOT! During the ultrasound the baby's head was behind my belly button with it's feet down by my bladder. I think the baby it doing jumping jacks on my bladder!!

I will be going home at the beginning of April for a baby shower. My friends Lee and Cathy have generously offered to do a shower for me. I am so excited! And I can't wait to see the family. It will be a short trip but a good one!

Just a thought....why is it that strangers think they can touch your belly when you are pregnant? I would never dream of going up to a stranger and touching them! UGH! Now that I am showing and wearing more maternity clothes people think that it is open season on my belly! I just want to scream back off! Ok that is my vent for the day! :o)

I hope everyone is doing well! Have a great week!

Belly Picture

So my mom is being sappy, which is not like her at all. She has ordered me to take belly pictures every 2 weeks so she can see me pregnant. I could do without the evidence that I am getting fatter but she is adamant about it. She also told me that I had to post them on my blog for all to see so I will share my growing fatness with you! The picture I am sharing is one that was taken this past weekend at my friend Hilary's wedding. It was such a beautiful day and she looked like a princess! That is her in the white dress (imagine that!) I am just to her left. You can see the belly in that one. I danced all night and then when I got into bed, baby decided to dance! My theory is that I have to teach the baby rythm some how becuase he/she is certainly not going to get it from daddy! :o) (I love you honey!)

I go for another ultrasound next Friday, March 14th at Sacred Heart in Pensacola. Becuase of Aaron's heart problem and my grandfather's heart problem they want to be on the safe side and check the baby's heart now. I will probably go for three ultrasounds there to monitor the baby's heart growth.

Well it is official, tomorrow I will be halfway there! I think that I am having a gymnast! I can feel the baby ALOT now. I can't wait until you can feel the baby from the outside so that John can feel too.
