Long Time No See...

I know it has been a while since I last posted. Life has been hectic between finishing up the end of the semester at Florida State and finishing out the school year. The kids last day is June 5th and mine is June 9th. I am counting down the days!!!! Once school is out I will be able to focus on getting the baby's room ready. I have been so tired lately. It was starting to get really frustrating. All I could do is go to work, come home and sleep. Well, at me last OB appt. they found that my iron was low so they put me on iron pills. That has helped tremendously. I am still worn out but it is the normal end of the school year tired.

Mom and Dad came out at the end of April to bring the crib and to go with me to my appointment at Sacred Heart. The doctor was awesome. He gave them a tour of the baby pointing out each part of the baby.....except the nether region! Everything with the baby looks good. The baby weighed in at almost 3 pounds then. I am curious to see at my next apt. how much the baby has grown. The doctor said the baby is healthy and strong and he has no worries. He got a better look at the umbilical cord and placenta and said he is not worried about that anymore. I have one more check up there on the 6th of June then I won't have to go back to Sacred Heart. John will actually get to go to this check up so I am excited. At my visit in April, Dad thought he would be stealthy and try to get the ultrasound tech to tell him if the baby was a boy or girl. His plan backfired! He was busted! His plan was to be the last one out of the room and try to convince her to tell him. I caught on when he was all but pushing mom and I from the room! Good try Dad I just have one thing to say...Coulda worked, shoulda worked...DIDN"T WORK!! Hahahahahahahahaha!

Today was my shower at work. It was wonderful! I recieved saome very nice gifts and gift cards. There was enough for me to buy the baby's bassinet. I made John and my friend Hilary go with me to Target to get it. I couldn't help it! Here is a picture of all of the fun zany people I work with. We got together for a group photo before the shower got under way. They are a wonderful bunch of people.

My mom and John's mom have both requested I post a belly picture. My belly has grown substantially! It was weird. It seemed like one day it just popped out! The baby is VERY active. You can see my belly move now when the baby kicks. John had his head on my belly talking to the baby the other night and the baby kicked him! The baby loves when John talks to him/her. There is always lots of activity while he is talking. The cat still likes to lay with her head on my belly. A couple nights ago, the baby kicked really hard and it made Callie's head come off my stomach. She looked at my belly then at me and gave me a look that said "What the heck was that!" I just sat here and laughed! So here goes....the much anticipated belly picture....(I am being a bit cheesy in the picture but what can I say, I couldn't help it!!)

Well I am off to bed. I will try and be more diligent about posting. Once school it out I will have more time. I hope everyone is doing well and we look forward to hearing from you all!
