This month has been crazy!! We started off the month with Mardi Gras festivities. Cecelia loves parades and beads! She puts her hands inthe air and says "beads!" It is so cute! We went to several parades through the two weeks. She had so much fun! She liked the parades so much she would get upset when they were over. She was a bead magnent! There are some pitcures below.
On the pregnancy front, the second half of the month has not been the best. My doctor put me on bed rest. I have been feeling an incrediblre amount of preassure down low. He wants to be on the safe side so I have not been able to do much and I can't lift Cecelia. Thank goodness she is big eniough that she can climb in my lap to read and snuggle. Mom and Dad have done all of the Cecelia lifting. Cecelia has been so sweet. She kisses my tummy when I ask her where is our baby girl. It melts my heart. She has several baby dolls that she loves to wrap in their blankie and feed them their bottle. She is so sweet! My doctor told me that we have to get me to 34 weeks for sure. He doesn't feel like I will go into labor early but the 34 week mark is then the lungs are developed and the bsaby can breath on her own just in case. After this week, he said I could increase my activity and that if for some reason I do end up in going into labor it will be ok. I am still going to take it easy after next week. I want to hold off having her as long as I can until her due date.
I am very proud of my big girl! She is completely weaned from the bottle now. She has not had one in over a week. And the best part was it was easy! I just decided one day to not give her a bottle. Instead I read her a book then put her to bed. She did great. No crying or fussing. She only asked for it once and I diverted her attention to a book and she went right to bed. I ams o proud of her. And honestly I am releived. I thought it was going to be a huge fight to wean her. I can't say I miss washing bottles! :o)
This past Saturday I was blessed to have family and friends throw me a baby shower. It was small just like I wanted. It was fun to visit with everyone and I am grateful for their generosity. Thanks you Lee, Cathy, Joslin, and Ellie for a wonderful shower! I loved every minute of it. I have included pictures below. Cecelia went too in her I am the big sister shirt. She helped me open presents. It was so cute. She would get very excited about the presents. She also got a couple presents for her since she is the big sister. She was very excuted about that. Cecelia is going to be the best big sister!
Cecelia waiting for the parade to start. Aaron parked his truck on the Seawall so the kids could play in the back. My cousin Shane, his wife Michelle, and their kids Jonathan and Samantha came down for the parade too. Auntie Jojo took the pictures both of the parade and at the shower. I think she is becoming the family photographer! :o)
